R.I.P. Paul Walker
R.I.P. Paul Walker
The actor most known for his role in The Fast and the Furious movies died yesterday afternoon (11/30/13) in a car accident in Valencia, CA. His friend Roger Rodas was driving. Walker had been at a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide earlier in the day. Both men were found dead in the wreckage of a red Porche. Walker was only 40 years old.
It’s sad and shocking news. I’ve been a fan of Paul Walker’s movies ever since I saw him in Pleasantville (1998). It’s awful to see him go way before his time.
Paul was not known for dramas, rather he was most known for action movies and thrillers.
My favorite Paul Walker movie is Running Scared (2006). Other great Walker movies include Eight Below (2006), The Lazarus Project (2008), The Fast and the Furious (2001), Pawn Shop Chronicles (2013), and The Death and Life of Bobby Z (2007).
Walker was supposed to be in Fast & Furious 7 in 2014.
Hours (2013) will be Paul’s second to the last movie to be released. It is set to be released later this month. The last movie that he made was Brick Mansions (2014).
The world lost another great actor. He will be missed.
Paul Walker movies that I have reviewed include:
R.I.P. Dennis Farina
Dennis Farina passed away today in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 69. The cause of death is unknown, but what is known is that the world lost a superb character actor. (It was released later on that he died of a blood clot in his lung.)
Farina was in television and movies for 31 years. He is probably best known for his parts in Snatch. (2000) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). He was also in 46 episodes of “Law & Order” from 2004-2006. I especially liked his characters in Snatch. and Stealing Harvard (2002). He usually played a tough-guy character, but he had a way of being funny at the same time. It was a sort of charm that most people don’t possess and he will be missed.
Rest in Peace Dennis Farina.
R.I.P. James Gandolfini
Rest in peace James Gandolfini!
The actor most known for playing tough-guy Tony Soprano in the television series “The Sopranos” passed away today of a heart attack while vacationing in Rome, Italy. He was only 51 years old.
My favorite Gandolfini movies are True Romance (1993), Get Shorty (1995), and Lonely Hearts (2006).
Most recently he has had parts in Killing Them Softly (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013).
He made the film Violet & Daisy (2011) in 2011, but the film has yet to be released. It may have had limited release on 5/3/13, but it has yet to be available in my area.
James Gandolfini with be missed. He always brought a ton of energy to his characters and really knew how to make his presence known. That presence will live on in all of his films and television shows for many years to come.
