Trailer for Better Living Through Chemistry (2014)
Better Living Through Chemistry (2014)
In my world, Sam Rockwell can pretty much do no wrong.
In Better Living Through Chemistry he plays a pharmacist with a basic, uneventful life. His life gets turned upside down when he starts a crazy love affair with a gorgeous customer (Olivia Wilde). The pharmacist gets tangled up in a mess of drugs, sex, and problems with the police.
The movie was written and directed by Geoff Moore and David Posamentier and the rest of the noteworthy cast includes Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotte, Jane Fonda, Ben Schwartz, Peter Jacobson, and Ken Howard.
This movie looks like it will be good for some laughs.
The film is set to release on 03/14/14.
Teaser Trailer For The Expendables 3 (2014)
Expendables 3 (2014)
Sylvester Stallone is at it again. He has gathered his Expendables for another go-round. The Expendables (2010) was good, The Expendables 2 (2012) was even better. Will this third time be the charm? The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal enough of anything, except for the fact that the boys are back and hopefully better than ever.
The movie was directed by Patrick Hughes and the noteworthy cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Kelsey Grammer, Randy Couture, and Robert Davi.
I especially like the addition of Gibson and Ford.
I think viewers will be in for an overload of blood, guts, and bullets.
The film is set to release on 08/15/14.
Trailer for Bad Words (2013)
Bad Words (2013)
Almost always funny man Jason Bateman is at it again. This time, he doesn’t only star in this new film, but he also makes his feature film directorial debut. He has had some directing experience with TV shows, but Bad Words is the first movie that he has directed.
The film is a comedy about a kid who loses a spelling bee. When he grows up and becomes a man, he (Jason Bateman) finds a flaw in the system and enters the spelling bee as an adult in order to try to win.
The rest of the noteworthy cast includes Kathryn Hahn, Allison Janney, Rachael Harris, Ben Falcone, Judith Hoag, Philip Baker Hall, and Beth Grant.
As the title suggests, I think we’re in for some foul-mouthed humor which Bateman is becoming known for. The movie will probably be pretty funny.
Bad Words is set to release on 03/28/14.
Trailer for 3 Days to Kill (2014)
3 Days to Kill (2014)
Kevin Costner has not been the lead in a solid movie since Mr. Brooks (2007). He has been doing one thing each year ever since. But for 2014, Costner has 5 films either waiting to be released or in the works. 3 Days to Kill appears to be the most promising of the 5 films and could likely be his comeback movie.
The film is about a Secret Service agent (Kevin Costner) who is dying. He has been trying to spend more time with his daughter and wife, but he is offered an experimental drug that just might save his life. In exchange for the drug, he has 3 days to complete one last job.
The movie was written by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak and directed by McG. The rest of the noteworthy cast includes Amber Heard, Connie Nielsen, Hailee Steinfeld, Scott Burn, Richard Sammel, and Eriq Ebouaney.
The film appears like it might have some similarities to Taken (2008). Costner’s character is trying to spend time with his family while at the same time on a mission and cracking skulls.
The movie is set to release on 02/21/14.
Trailer For Transcendence (2014)
Transcendence (2014)
It did not take long for me to learn that if Johnny Depp is in a movie, then that movie is pretty much bound to be good. Although the story is a bit far-fetched, I will give Transcendence the benefit of the doubt.
The film is about a dying scientist (Johnny Depp) who manages to download his body and mind into a super computer. The transformation causes him to become extremely powerful and dangerous.
The movie was directed by Wally Pfister and the rest of the noteworthy cast includes Kate Mara, Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, Paul Bettany, Cole Hauser, Clifton Collins Jr., Falk Hentschel, and Wallace Langham.
Johnny Depp is my favorite actor. I’ll definitely have to see this one!
The film is set to release on 04/18/14.
Redband Trailer for 22 Jump Street (2014)
(Poster not yet available.) (This is a Redband trailer, so viewer discretion is advised.)
22 Jump Street (2014)
Without question, 21 Jump Street (2012) was one of the funniest movies of 2012. The movie was already a reboot of the popular television show from the late 80s and early 90s, 21 Jumpstreet, starring Johnny Depp. 22 Jump Street is the sequel to the reboot, and it looks like it just might be as funny as its predecessor.
This time, instead of Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill) going undercover as students in high school, they have gone on to infiltrate a college campus undercover as college students.
The movie was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and the rest of the noteworthy cast includes Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, Jimmy Tatro, Wyatt Russell, Jillian Bell, Dax Flame, and Johnny Pemberton.
I’m sure that we can expect the same raunchy, outrageous, hilariousness as 21 Jump Street. It should be a laugh filled adventure.
The film is set to release on 06/13/14.
Trailer for Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
Tom Cruise returns for another Sci-Fi action thriller. It will be two Sci-Fi movies in a row for him after Oblivion (2013).
Edge of Tomorrow is about a soldier (Tom Cruise) who gets stuck in a time loop of his last day of battle while at war with aliens.
The film is based on the book All You Need is Kill which was written by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Christopher McQuarrie, Jez Butterworth, and John-Henry Butterworth wrote the screen play for Edge of Tomorrow. The rest of the noteworthy cast includes Emily Blunt, Jeremy Piven, Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, Charlotte Riley, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
Time travel has always been intriguing to me. Pair that with Cruise in an action movie written by McQuarrie and I’m sold.
The film is set to release on 06/06/14.
McQuarrie also wrote the screen play for Jack Reacher (2012) and directed the film which also starred Cruise. Of course, it was based on the Lee Child book, One Shot.
McQuarrie is also set to direct Mission: Impossible 5 (2015) which of course, also stars Cruise.
McQuarrie also wrote the screen play for Valkyrie (2008) which also stars Cruise.
Teaser Trailer for Interstellar (2014)
Interstellar (2014)
Christopher Nolan is one of those directors that only directs superb movies. He has yet to really strike out. Interstellar appears like it will follow his pattern of greatness.
The film is about explorers who discover a wormhole that allows them to travel very long distances through space.
The description doesn’t sound very special, but the film is written by Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan. Christopher Nolan directs and the noteworthy cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, David Oyelowo, Topher Grace, and Ellen Burstyn.
I will pretty much guarantee that Interstellar will be awesome. It has a great cast and excellent writers and director. It’s just too bad that we have to wait almost a year until it releases.
The film is set to release on 11/07/14.
Trailer for Sabotage (2014)
Sabotage (2014)
From the writer of Training Day (2001) and the director of End of Watch (2012), comes Sabotage, an action film about a war between a drug cartel and an army of DEA agents.
The movie is written and directed by David Ayer and the noteworthy cast includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terrence Howard, Sam Worthington, Mireille Enos, Olivia Williams, Joe Manganiello, Max Martini, Josh Holloway, Harold Perrineau, Daniel Moncada, Martin Donovan, and Ralf Moeller.
Great cast, great director, and it looks like it will be a great action flick.
The film is set to release on 04/11/14.
