Super Troopers 2 (2018)
Super Troopers 2 (2018)
I absolutely hated the first movie, Super Troopers (2001). It was beyond stupid and I enjoyed nothing about it at all. I know, what a wonderful reason to go see the second movie, right? I guess I saw the movie for the sake of reviewing it.
With the addition of Rob Lowe, Seann William Scott, Clifton Collins Jr., Will Sasso, and loving Jim Gaffigan as a comedian, I thought that this sequel might have some humor in it.
The film is about a group of misfit state troopers who are sent to patrol newly gained American land that once belonged to Canada.
The movie was directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and the noteworthy cast includes Brian Cox, Robe Lowe, Steve Lemme, Erik Stohlhanske, Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Kevin Heffernan, Damon Wayans Jr., Seann William Scott, Clifton Collins Jr., Will Sasso, Jim Gaffigan, Marisa Coughlan, Lynda Carter, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.
Poop jokes. Puns. Awful. Garbage. Feces. Too much unnecessary male nudity. Jokes about shaving testicles, guys making out, and putting fingers in butts, to say the least. Really?
This review writes itself.
I do not know what is sadder, the fact that this movie made wide release, or the fact it had a big successful opening weekend.
Super Troopers 2 is easily one of the worst movies that I have ever seen (and that is saying a lot). I laughed once during the entire movie.
There was no real humor or substance to anything in this movie. I do not know how some of the actors in the film could stoop to such a low level.
Honestly, it took a lot of skill to make a movie this awful. Do yourself a favor and see anything else!
I rate this movie a 1 on a scale of 1-10. (If I could give a negative number, I would).
If you liked this film then you are part of the problem and here is a list of other garbage that you might also enjoy:
Super Troopers (2001)
Meet the Spartans (2008)
Funny People (2009)
Fifty Shades of Black (2016)
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)
Bad Moms (2016)
Bad Grandpa (2013)
Trailer For Transcendence (2014)
Transcendence (2014)
It did not take long for me to learn that if Johnny Depp is in a movie, then that movie is pretty much bound to be good. Although the story is a bit far-fetched, I will give Transcendence the benefit of the doubt.
The film is about a dying scientist (Johnny Depp) who manages to download his body and mind into a super computer. The transformation causes him to become extremely powerful and dangerous.
The movie was directed by Wally Pfister and the rest of the noteworthy cast includes Kate Mara, Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, Paul Bettany, Cole Hauser, Clifton Collins Jr., Falk Hentschel, and Wallace Langham.
Johnny Depp is my favorite actor. I’ll definitely have to see this one!
The film is set to release on 04/18/14.
Trailer for Pacific Rim (2013)
Pacific Rim (2013)
The earth is under an attack from an alien invasion, so what do the humans do? We build giant robots to defend ourselves, of course. Is that not the obvious answer?
Another movie about an alien invasion has been made. This time, it looks like they mixed the movie with Transformers (2007) and Real Steel (2011). Apparently this is what writer and director Guillermo Del Toro thinks an alien movie should be like.
The cast includes Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Clifton Collins Jr., Robert Maillet, and Heather Doerksen.
I for one, am pretty fed up with movies like this one. Just how extreme can we possibly make our special effects? They look so far out in this movie that it all looks fake and does not look interesting to me at all. This is just my opinion, I’m sure there are people out there that have marked the release date of this movie on their calendars and are planning a midnight showing, but I’m not that guy. I will gladly skip this movie. I’m sure it will make millions, but it won’t get any of my money.
The movie is set to release on 7/12/13.
