13 Awesome Actors, 13 Awful Movies
13 Awesome Actors, 13 Awful Movies
Unfortunately I had the displeasure of viewing these vile movies. I was duped into thinking that each one of these films could do no wrong because of the awesome actors that were in them. Boy was I wrong. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from these movies as you can get.
Anthony Hopkins: Alexander (2004)
Brad Pitt: Killing Them Softly (2012)
Daniel Day-Lewis: The Boxer (1997)
George Clooney: Syriana (2005)
Jeff Bridges: The Contender (2000)
John Travolta: Battlefield Earth (2000)
Johnny Depp: Before Night Falls (2000)
Kevin Costner: Waterworld (1995)
Kevin Spacey: HurlyBurly (1998)
Morgan Freeman: Dreamcatcher (2003)
Nicolas Cage: The Wicker Man (2006)
Robin Williams: The Night Listener (2006)
Tom Cruise: Interview with the Vampire (1994)
When I look at this list, I can only ask myself one question: What were they thinking?

I know what you are going to say: “you’re a sci-fi fanboy.” But I loved Waterworld and like kinda liked battlefield earth. I heard the whole crew was mad as Costner during the filming of the movie cause he was the only one being paid well and housed well during the filming. Also, I have always wanted to see interview with a vampire, because I only hear good things. What sucked about it?
I love making these controversial lists : ) Things about Waterworld and Battlefield earth were interesting. I did see them both in the theatre, so I was interested in them. I just thought that each one was very disapointing. With the money and cast involved in each of those movies, they could have done so much more. They had fun concepts, but they were too long and drawn out. The same pretty much goes for interview with a vampire. It starts out well and has an excellent cast, but it gets a little too out there for me. Even when you buy into the idea of vampires and everything that goes with it, the movie was just too long and they did not utilize their very capable cast the way that they could have. In retrospect all of those movies on that list are so bad that they are almost good. Like sometimes it’s fun to watch a really bad movie to make fun of it. Kinda like Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Like how bout the drawn out scene in waterworld when costner purifies his own urine to drink it. That’s pretty funny. I understand the point of the scene, but it is comical. Or how he devolops gills and breathes like a fish. Interview with a vampire is pretty slow and actually started to get boring. There is nothing wrong with liking sci-fi. I like some sci-fi also. To each his own. This is just my opinion, but who am I? Thanks for commenting Valrikrommia, I do appreciate it. I see that we both have written for worthitornot. That’s pretty cool. Take it easy.
