Happy Birthday to George Clooney
Happy Birthday to George Clooney! He turns 52 today.
Clooney is a superb actor when he wants to be. He has been in a number of solid movies. However, he has also managed to be a part of a number of pretty terrible movies.

Worst? Batman. Best? I sure liked him in The Descendents and Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
Batman, good one! He was very good in Oh Brother.
didn’t particularly like him in The American (2010) or Intolerable Cruelty (2003).
Loved him in One Fine Day (1996) and Up in the Air (2009)
I hated The American, but Intolerable Cruelty I thought had its moments. I have Up in the Air, but I haven’t watched it yet.
As a rule, I watch every top Oscar nominee before the awards in order to form my own opinion. There were even a few years where I watched EVERY movie nominated (even costume design… The Duchess (2008) was horrendous)
Maybe I’ll try and re-watch Intolerable Cruelty in the near future
